The school has fantastic facilities within the school building and in the extensive school grounds.
These include:
Swimming Pool
The prep has access to St Ambrose College’s swimming pool. Prep 1 enjoy their weekly swimming lessons there and the prep 4 have the chance to learn how to play water polo! It is a beautiful, full size pool that our pupils are very lucky to enjoy.
After school Hub
Overseen by OK Mum, our after school club takes place in our on-site Eco classroom. It is a modern build that is home to before and after school from 7.45am to 6.30pm. It is also home to the OK Mum’s holiday club that operates throughout school holidays. We are so lucky to offer a familiar environment for our pupils to spend time on the school grounds outside of school hours.
G4 Astro Turf Pitch
The school is able to host football and rugby fixtures and tournaments on this large, modern, purpose built pitch, regardless of the weather! We also have a smaller AstroTurf pitch which enables the children to regularly practise their skills in hockey, tennis and football all year round.
Music Department
Our music department consists of a large classroom which is home to a piano, 9 steel drums and multiple percussion resources. There is also a practise room which allows all our pupils the opportunity to learn a musical instrument, including the drums, guitar, clarinet, saxophone, cello and piano.
Sports Field
The prep has priority use of the lower part of St Ambrose College’s sports field. This allows us an abundance of space to enjoy sports on real grass in the summer, including rugby and football. We use the whole area of the field for the pupils’ cross country lessons.
School Hall
We are lucky to have a large, modern, purpose-built hall which is used regularly for assemblies, PE lessons, dinnertime and contents. This hall allows the children ample space to be creative, put on school plays and practice gymnastics, for which we have multiple pieces of equipment.
School playground and Outdoor Classroom
2 extensive playgrounds with a variety of equipment including 3 trim trails that we were kindly gifted by the PTFA and an outdoor, wooden classroom. In the summer, children enjoy the occasional lesson in the sunshine or a lunchtime outdoors.
