Educational Achievements

We are very proud of our children’s achievements. From their academic success to their endeavours on the sports field and in the music department, all children are given the opportunity at St Ambrose to flourish whatever their talents in the broad curriculum provided by the school.

In the last 5 years the vast majority of our pupils have passed an entrance exam for at least one of the following schools: St Ambrose College, Altrincham Grammar for Boys, Sale Grammar, Manchester Grammar or Cheadle Hulme School. Although this is one of the reasons why parents choose St Ambrose Prep for their children, it’s not the only reason.

We are committed to producing well-rounded, polite and mature young adults by the time they leave our care at the age of 11. Whilst our education speaks for itself, we cannot stress highly enough what our curriculum, activities and events contribute to the make up of the children’s characters.

Our consistently high results reflect the work of our dedicated team of teachers and learning support staff, with the provision of education offered within the school being second to none. From our Early Years Department, through to their final year, children are progressively prepared for 11+ and Entrance Examinations in order to gain places in to highly selective grammar and senior independent schools of their choice.
